Aer Lingus celebrated a milestone earlier this week when its first direct transatlantic flight on the Airbus A330-300 from Manchester took off to Barbados, one of the popular winter sun destinations for Brits.
The new service will include two weekly flights to Barbados until October 30 when this will increase to three weekly flights, with the routes due to be operated until the end of April. Fares start from £199 each way when booked as part of a return journey in economy.
